About Towne Bookkeeping

Towne Bookkeeping provides professional bookkeeping for non‑profit organizations, churches, small businesses, and film & television productions. We work remotely with tools that make it easy to collaborate with our clients, or on‑site in your office in the Edmonton area.

What we’re about

We work closely with owners, leaders, treasurers, staff, and volunteers to keep information current, easy to read, and compliant with CRA and grant requirements. We help reduce any financial anxiety or confusion in your operations and make the numbers useful for you to make decisions. Bottom line: we handle the heavy lifting so you can focus on your mission, programs, and teams!

Beyond day‑to‑day entries, we aim to save you time and money. We do that by streamlining processes like approvals, documentation, and reporting with the latest tools and simple best practices.

If bookkeeping feels like a boring chore to you, we’re your people. Our bookkeepers genuinely love numbers, tidy books, and seeing clients succeed.

Our story

Nicole Auser, a self-described numbers nerd, founded Towne Bookkeeping in 2018, after years of bookkeeping and professional communications experience. A Certified ProAdvisor, Nicole works primarily in QuickBooks Online but also uses a suite of tools to fit each client.

“Messy books are my happy place. Big bin of disorganized receipts? Delicious. Problem that requires a spreadsheet to solve? Merry Christmas to me. Chart of Accounts overhaul? I’d skip a trip to Disneyland to get it done.”

With a brain capable of seeing the big picture in business, and also thriving in the details, Nicole makes an excellent bookkeeping partner.

Laura Auser brings more than 40 years of bookkeeping experience. While she won’t reveal her age, she did say:

“When I first started bookkeeping, all my work was done on paper. I could not have anticipated the changes I’ve seen in bookkeeping over the years, but it’s kept things new and exciting.”

Laura has steadily adapted to new technologies. And, as Nicole’s mother, she introduced Nicole to bookkeeping in her teens, setting a course to eventually collaborate in business. Laura has served Towne Bookkeeping clients since 2021.
